Quick Start

This document will guide you through quickly installing and configuring AIDOC Station on Windows, experiencing the new “Copy implies Typesetting” AI office workflow.

1. Preparation

Before starting the installation, please ensure your computer meets the following basic requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11.
  • Office Software:
    • Microsoft Office Word/Excel (2016 and above, Office 365 recommended).
    • Or WPS Office (2019 and above).
  • Core Dependency (Required): Pandoc
    • AIDOC Station relies on Pandoc for high-fidelity document conversion.
    • 👉 Click here to download Pandoc Installer (Please download pandoc-x.x.x-windows-x86_64.msi).
    • Please keep default options during installation, ensuring “Install for all users” or related “Add to Path” options are checked.

2. Download and Installation

  1. Visit the AIDOC Official Download Center (or GitHub Releases page) to download the latest installer:
    • AIDOCStation_Setup_v1.0.0.exe
  2. Double-click to run the installer.
    • The installation process is very fast and does not require administrator privileges (installs to critical user directory by default).
    • It is recommended to check “Launch at startup” to access the smart clipboard at any time.
  3. After installation, the program will start automatically, and you will see the green AIDOC Station icon 🟢 in the system tray at the bottom right of the taskbar.

3. Verification and Configuration

It is recommended to perform a simple check for the first run:

  1. Check Pandoc Connection:

    • Right-click the tray icon -> Settings.
    • Under the “Conversion” tab, check “Pandoc Path”.
    • If it shows ”✅ Pandoc x.x.x detected”, the environment is normal.
    • (If not detected, please manually click the browse button and select your installed pandoc.exe path, usually at C:\Program Files\Pandoc\pandoc.exe).
  2. Confirm Hotkey:

    • Under the “General” tab, confirm the “Global Hotkey” setting.
    • The default hotkey is Ctrl+Shift+B. If this shortcut is occupied, you can click the record button to modify it to your preferred combination (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+V).
